This Jack Nicklaus designed course first opened for play in 1989.
This 18-hole championship layout features classic Nicklaus architecture: wide fairways, lush course conditions, and undulating putting surfaces.

White tees: par-72, 6,115 yards

This course is now Pinehurst #9, one of the Pinehurst resort courses. The greens fees are somewhat high, but considering the course condition and amenities, it is worth playing. I have played several times and always enjoyed my rounds there. This is a Nicklaus course and as expected, it is a pretty difficult track. With that said, the course is scenic and has very interesting holes. It's new relationship with Pinehurst will help the course to continue to improve and remain one of the better courses in the area.
